I still support software written for dos with foxpro written in 1980, there
are adapters for serial and Centronics via usb so they are not dead.

Well, they are becoming rare. RS-232C, powered by an 8250 or a 16550... I
think I've likely got one or two docking stations that still have them,
but...

I was onsite at a client last year trying to debug their printing problems.
Wanted to hook up the printer directly to my laptop to see if I could
reproduce the problem. It was a Centronics interface. Oh. Never mind.
