Gentlemen, I wonder if any of you have come across this problem before and successfully solved it.
We have a works "spec sheet" that defines each parameter of a customer job and prints out on a SINGLE sheet of A4 all the parameters that a machine operator requires. Some of this data is not fixed length i.e 2 fields that are purely descriptive so in the space we have available for each field we need to display the data in the largest font available for the space available. Note that this is in a report and I can use a udf to change the font of a field before it is printed using the Report Listener. However, I have had mixed success using the sysmetric and fontmetric calls in order to determine how large the font should be. Anyone else solved this problem?
