It was a year ago, I bought a new PC and was struggling to setup KVM. In the end I just installed Windows 8. > Was KVM not ready for prime time? It looks really promising...first I've > heard of it. KVM has very little overheads compared to virtual machines hosted in a normal OS. Assuming you have the correct CPU (and motherboard?) the virtual OS has direct access to hardware. This can be a concern if you are playing games in a virtual Windows. The idea is you install a small Linux OS which runs KVM. This boots your 'real' OS. XEN is another alternative but I think this requires changes to the virtual OS (this may have changed). -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/cadwx0++f7ge4x_w_elqyp7fe_egozlgb86hjzdtausprch_...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
