Sorry, that won't work either as you'll be possibly returning the INSMODE()
back to overstrike before the keys have been processed.  KEYBOARD merely
puts keys into the keyboard buffer to be processed at the next waiting
state, the INSMODE() resetting the original value would happen before the
keys are processed.
