I usually do NOT allow editing in grids, but I've come across a scenario where it's probably a good idea, at least for initial setup. What I want to do is capture the record in an object using SCATTER MEMO NAME this.oOldRec and then when the user goes to leave the ROW (not the column), I want to compare against a new scatter so it'd basically be using COMPOBJ(this.oOldRec,this.oNewRec).

My question is: which grid events am I using to capture these record states? I'm thinking AfterRowColChange event for the latter (oNewrec)....but which for the former? BeforeRowColChange event? I figured somebody here has already done this and could advise.

Thanks,
--Mike
