The Intuit online payroll is not related to Quickbooks and there is no
connection (as far as we know) - at least we don't have it connected. We
don't even enter the online payroll numbers on the same computer where
we have QB installed.
You will get an email every time a tax deposit is made. you can use that
to enter in QB or just compare with your bank account weekly or monthly.
We only pay by direct deposit so there is no paperwork.

So I guess the "elephant in the room" would be that the online payroll
version has the integration with QB?
You are sooooo right about the changes and idiocy they practice just
to justify their forced march.
I would vote for "give us more money every three years and we'll just
fix bugs, no interface overhauls."
Thanks!

We used that in the past and quit for the specific reason you
mention. They kept changing the interface, each time getting more and
more confusing and difficult to use and expensive (copy M$?) anyway
we are now using the online payroll and find it extremely simple and
easy to use. It is too expensive, but so easy to use, we will
continue for now. As soon as they ruin that interface, we will change
to something else.
We still use the old QB for accounts payable and do not plan to ever
change.

Any other Quickbooks users on here?
Specifically, Quickbooks with Payroll?
Need to upgrade (the forced march of death) to 2014 and I can get
"QB2014 with 1 year of Enhanced Payroll" for $225, or I can get
QB2014 by itself for $190 and then pay $370 to renew my Payroll
subscription next month.
$225 or $560....hmmm.....
I've chatted with QB support and asked them if there are any
'gotchas' that would make this approach a bad idea and they said
that as long as the data is backed up and restored properly, it
should be fine.
Anyone else using this software and have any thoughts on this process?
Something about this idea (not to mention dealing with Intuit!)
gives me the willies...
Thanks for any war stories or thoughts in advance!
