That would be another option; use the IP address instead of the computer name 
in the net use and see if you can connect.

yep.  I did notice something funny.  I have to NIC cards in the server with 
fixed IP addresses.  It showed up in my DHCP table with a third IP address.  I 
am checking into that right now.
