Option 1 - Try packing it before you compile.
Option 2 - Delete the contents of the compiled code column in the VCX and pack
it again.
Option 3 - Clean up the project.

Subject: VFP9SP2 hanging onto file; can't build

"File xyz.vcx is in use and cannot be recompiled."

What the heck? I used SysInternals and it shows that VFP9.EXE is latching onto
it and won't let go.

I did a CLEAR ALL and CLEAR CLASSLIB xyz.vcx and VFP just hangs...I mean
exactly that--I've had to End Task twice now. CPU hung on the VFP9.EXE process
at 25% before I had to kill it. When I come back in, no project open, I did an
explicit "COMPILE CLASSLIB xyz.vcx" and that worked fine.
Check SysInternals--no handles on it. I open the Project file...BAM...it's
got the deathlock on it again.

Suggestions?

Thanks,
--Mike
