I got the SyncBackPro version...and I've looked all over and can't find
a place for it to do a confirmation email. If anyone is aware of how to
do that, I'd appreciate enlightenment!
It DOES have the ability to send status messages to a Syslog server, but
I haven't found anything else.

We use SyncBackSE to backup local folders to a cloud server. We also
use it to backup one cloud server to a different cloud server. It
sends us an email after every run. There are many options. Possibly
you don't have the 'SE' version?

FYI, I recently switched to Syncback + Google storage from Rackspace
Jungledisc, and while I like it and it is performing well, I miss
getting an email confirmation of backups succeeding each night (which
Jungledisc did/does.)

Michael: I mentioned I backup my server to an external hard

have two that I rotate between being connected and the other is in a

For drives, I buy regular internal 1T SATA drives and install
them in
a Rosewill case.

Thanks, Jeff. Found this WD 500 GB for just $60 USD:

For that SyncBak option, if your hard drive fails, do you just
install
the new hard drive and then restore from the SyncBak? Also, this
isn't
them, is it? http://www.syncbak.com/
