Jeff:
I have seen this before with other AV packages. Sophos for one...
What I did to remedy the situation was to install the list of FP extensions in
the exclude list and all was 'normal' again.
Something to try anyway...but it doesn't explain why other machines were not
affected...

Subject: Slowness

I have a user that has four workstations accessing FP files on a
server. For years everything has worked fine. An IT guy (pretty good
one too) installed Trend Micro antivirus on the system and one computer
slowed to a crawl.

I disabled Trend Micro and still slow. The only thing that is slow is
creating cursors and updating views. When I create a new record I do so
in a parameterized view. This takes forever. Also doing a select
statement and displaying it in a grid is very very slow. Data file
access on the server is fine. This is also only happening on one computer.

Anyone seen this before?
