Really? Ok I am wrong. I think it's stupid but if that's the way it is so be
it. It a total nuisance if you want to rem a bit out to test.

It's not a bug, the semicolon has always been a comment continuation
character too. 

Look under the help for '&&'

"To continue a comment on the following line, place a semicolon (;) at
the end of the comment line to be continued."
