Good riddance to one more wildly incompetent fool. You silly conservatives all should be welcoming the removal of a primary architect of these ever so well deserved electoral losses.
The Republicans have fallen in thrall to Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove and have utterly forgotten what fiscal conservatives are supposed to stand for. A congress that has become a wholly owned subsidiary of their donors, that moves in such complete lockstep to the executive branch that they completely fail to do any oversight whatsoever of the administration, themselves, their wildly irresponsible deficit spending or the utterly corrupt prosecution of a major war deserve zero sympathy for being fired. Winston Churchill said something like, "You get what you inspect, not what you expect." In Iraq, nothing at all has ever been inspected by Congress. The administration faced with an inspection office that was starting to do it's job gets disbanded, right before an election. The result in Iraq is a failure on so many levels that "winning" is probably possible only through redefinition in countless talking points. But, you can know that as has been done before, everything from here on out that goes wrong in Iraq will be blamed on Democrats in Congress. All I can say is it is about damn time the Republican's "be very afraid" so we can protect you button started to backfire on them.
