Whenever I'm running my house manager app, it shells out to run independent programs. stereo/dvd/cd/volume etc and it monitors a com port to communicate (to and from) a stargate house automation system. manages lights/fans/heating and ac, and telephone. I can do simple stuff through the com port but to actually program the stargate I have to VM Ware an XP system 32 bit. all thanks to you guys. ANYWAY
When I have the house manager running and I put a Netflix disc in a cd-rom, it locks up windows tighter than ft. knox (usually). I know this, why do I keep relearning it 1 or 2 times per week? Anybody have a wrinkle function that would stop everything a say 'please shut down house manager' when the dvd-playrer auto player is tripped.
