If you're using the API, there is a way to set the current printer in

I checked the code I use.

IF DL.SelectPrinter(lcPrinterName) = .F.
   MessageBox("printer unavailable")
ENDIF

lcPrinterName is the name in Windows. It can include spaces.

HTH,
Tracy

I added the above test and also SET PRINTER TO. Everything is a go except the printing.

So sorry to bother all of you, but the problem was an incorrect variable name. I thought I assigned to printer properly and the printer was ready, but because of the incorrect variable name it was the wrong printer. After correcting it, everything works great!

When you look at and modify code all day long every day year after year, it is surprising I don't make more mistakes.

Thanks for your help.
