That's a great answer, thanks.

We'll have to review our code and likely end up doing some testing; we both
read in and parse existing documents (i.e., using Excel from 3rd parties as
input; btw, rarely a good idea ;) and creating output files for various
reporting and output issues. Knowing the basic answer ("You must have the
applications installed locally") will be a big help.
