You ever hear of an actuararial dept in an insurance company ? They make their money by finding ways to lower their payout.
There is no guarantee that if you do or don't have your seatbelt on, that you will go through a windshield as it depends on a million different possibilities.. But I would bet your next 5 years salary that the insurance lobbyists were the ones to get this law passed. In order to defend oneself from a bomb, it would be highly beneficial to understand how one is made. Again, I agree with others in that we're going too far. The way we are now, we are saying that if I carry a baseball bat, there is the potential that I am going to kill somebody with it, hence I am a potential criminal, even if I might have simply been on the way to the batting cage... Whatever happened to "You're innocent until proven guilty" ?
