Yep, same customer. Most of their spreadsheets are .xlr which are Works
files. It's a little tiny business back east and their IT department
has their system locked down tighter than a drum. I don't have any
problem with that as long as the IT folks will work with me. Which
these are.
I thought I finally had this xlsx problem nailed down until today.
Thank goodness for Profox!

Subject: Excel Driver Not Working
lnsqlhandle = SQLSTRINGCONNECT("Driver={Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls,
*.xlsx, *.xlsm, *.xlsb)}; DBQ=" + lcspreadsheet + ";")
I use the above string to connect to Excel files. It normally does fine
with xls and xlsx. Today I have a customer that has Office 2010
installed and it does not work. It returns a -1 which doesn't tell me much.
Do I need to change the connection string for 2010?
