I'll disable all of the plugins. Including one that is supposed to be caching the pages.

Then try the same for the widgets on the left hand side. I had a widget
that did a couple thousand sql requests to link every blog post to ever set
of categories to make a real pretty tag cloud. When I killed that site
performance sky-rocketed. So, innocuous little widgets can be killers.

Try out the built in troubleshooting tools in FireFox or Google, and the
YSlow plugins. They should tell you what elements of the page are dragging
it down.
