Appreciate the response though.. Didn't notice it until now as I was tired as its been a long weekend coding, but I meant val(), not var()
In php it seems there are half a dozen ways to do things like cast(p as decimal) or number_format(). Things like that. Problem I'm running into is when I loaded the data from the excel spreadsheets, all columns were made into varchar() but up until now it presented no problems as I could use the above commands. Today it threw me for a loop, but I finally figured it out so all is good, and I try to stay off the OT stuff these days IF I can. -----Original Message----- From: ProFox [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ted Roche Sent: Sunday, November 30, 2014 4:18 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [NF] var(), str() On Sun, Nov 30, 2014 at 2:27 PM, Virgil Bierschwale <[email protected]> wrote: > I've learned to ignore those I call "ankle biters" after the little > dogs that post anonymously. > Well, it's more that people are trying to solve a specific problem, and sometimes they use a hammer to drive a screw, and write about it.
