Wondering what the rest of you are using for ebook readers and where
you're buying/renting your ebooks?

I have a Kindle Paper White which is great for reading fiction but sucks
for anything technical. I get my ebooks from Amazon and from open source
vendors that publish books in a Kindle format. I've tried to read PDF's
on a Kindle but the experience was not pleasant.

I've read several free ebooks in an Apple iBook and PDF formats on my
MacBook Pro and found my laptop's screen made the reading experience
much nicer than my Kindle for books that benefited from the larger
screen real estate. I'm considering an iPad as an alternative reader.

Are any of you renting technical books from Safari or using Amazon's
flat monthly rate rental program for a subset of their books? What about
purchasing ebooks from other publishers like Manning?

Malcolm
