Yeah, I've thrown out a lot of those books, too, and the memory ain't what it used to be. According to "Using FoxPro 2.5 for DOS" by Slater & Arnott (with help from Gotthelf and Roche), I think you need the Distribution Kit in order to generate an EXE, compact or full EXE. But I think you can build an APP. There should be a project file, and BUILD APP myapp from myapp RECOMPILE ought to do it, iirc.
