Thanks to Stephen and everyone for your help on SQL Server. The databases restored very easily into the 2014 developer version.

The challenge I have now is one of the tables stores images. There is an image data type and I know if it is a pdf or a jpg etc. The image field is a hex string representing the content. It does not match up with a hex string of a pdf or anything else. Is there a way to view the images or do you think they used a third party application to store the image?
