In the Player, when I click on the FoxPro app -- Foxpro for Windows 2.6a -- nothing happens. I click a few more times.
I then click the close box of VMware Player and I get two choices: - Exit - Cancel Usually, the close box gives three choices: - Suspend - Power Off - Cancel I click on Exit, and the VMware Player does not close. Another instance of the VMware Player Desktop appears with the 4 or 5 icons for FPW26a on the Taskbar. I suspect one or both of these XP apps: - ntvdm.exe - wowexec.exe FPW26a I think in a 16 bit program. The VMware Player is 6.0.5 build-2443746. The OS for the VMware Player guest is XP Pro. The OS for the VMware Player host is WIN 7 N 64 bit. The config file for FPW26a is: KEYCOMP = WINDOWS CENTURY = ON EXCLUSIVE = ON STATUS = ON HELP = FOXHELP.DBF DISPLAY TO VGA25 CATMAN = OFF *! It parallels Mozilla Firefox -- v 37.0.1 -- becoming "Not Responding" recently. Firefox becomes Not Responsive even when running in SafeMode. I run Avast on the Host. I had run Avast on the Player. I changed to Windows Defender. On the host, waiting about 5 minutes restores responsiveness to Firefox. While Firefox is Not Responding, I have tried loading Chrome. But it loads Not Responding. I have tried removing Firefox and then reinstalling.
