I do not know what you are referring to here. > Worse still, how "the tell mama M$" about > application troubles while debugging code that communicates with > external devices, such that an external loop develops. I have learned that not all machines are built the same. What appears to have a serial port, may be a USB to Serial converter built on to the motherboard. It took a lot of digging to find that out. I also know that there are a lot of USB 2.0 implementations that are below the threshold of tolerance for continuous use. > Also any > experience of using win8.1 as a home server. If you only need it for serving files, investigate a NAS. If you have DBF's, find one you can turn off the delayed write cache on the partition you put those on. Windows 8.1 is still getting tweaks and patches, and will soon be updated to Windows 10 as the free update. > > Happy Days. > > William > _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
