Mike,
Yes... Excel reads in XML files no problem however large the data set and does 
all of the data conversion for you, but you need the document compatibility 
software update from Microsoft first.

Dave -- are you suggesting he take the VFP cursor and do a CursorToXML() call 
on it to produce the XML file in a folder, then have Excel open that XML file?  
Just wanting to make sure I'm clear on your suggestion.
