I have done many applications in the past like that. The easiest way I found it to be, was by recompiling the application as the outbound COM object (EXE type). You will need the source code so you can go into the classes and mark them as public. Then you can call any method on any class within the application and pass whatever parameters you have to pass or you can pass a parameter to the main form as well.
