In the past when I needed to automate this sort of thing I would build a batch file in VFP and then execute it. I suspect there is a better way perhaps using PowerShell.
I am particularly interested in being able to manage group membership when a user's role changes and old memberships need to be deleted and new ones established. When I was working in Novell I would delete all rights for a user and then grant only the ones needed. Perhaps this approach is still a good one but I would think a smarter approach where only the obsolete memberships are deleted and only the new ones are added would be a better approach. Any ideas or suggestions?
