Ubuntu was only sending search history and it was easily opted out. Next version won't default to sending Amazon search history even.

Microsoft seems to be sending a lot more information on many more items, to a complex network of obfuscated domain names. Not good.

What he doesn't mention is until recently Kubuntu was doing exactly
the same thing!

Before Unity 8 Ubuntu/Kubuntu was sending search history to Amazon to
target ads at you.
