If you don't have a CLEAR EVENTS in your code somewhere else, you'll never
get to the one after the READ EVENTS as that's where the code "sits" until
a CLEAR EVENTS causes the code after the READ EVENTS to be executed.

You'll never execute anything after the READ EVENTS until a CLEAR EVENTS is
issued from somewhere.
