10 years ago I was working for TicketMaster and the whole backend was running on VAX hardware. I'm talking about the whole infrastructure (web, telephone etc) interfacing with the VAX's. Spare parts came from eBay. When I left they were planning to use emulators to replace the aging hardware. This was TM UK but I know TM USA was similar. The place was a nightmare. Accounts used dozens of FoxBASE (yep!) programs that had obviously been hacked together by a non-programmer some decades before. -- Paul _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/cadwx0+jyeujfkdpe6r1q4k1eywd9brkue2hgu8zkacyszxp...@mail.gmail.com ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
