> Actually, your problem is in the pronoun. You said "a Jaguar".

Many years ago my father told me he was thinking of buying a Jaguar. I
actually told him to buy two. "What for?" "One to drive while the other is
in the shop being repaired!" Before Ford got into Jaguar their electrical
systems were horrible (Lucas). It took ford a while to turn the electrical
system around, and now they are quite reliable. But the "Jagaurus" (Jaguar
and Ford Taurus design cross-breeding attempt) is truly an unusual looking
beast).

On the other hand, my father did end up getting an XJ-8 (extended length
chassis) in 2001. It was a terrific automobile to cut around in while
visiting SoCal. He now has a Lexus for me to cut around in while visiting
them in LA. I like the Lexus, but truly miss the XJ-8 with its classical
True Jaguar styling and awesome performance. It was totaled when a 16 year
old driver, first day with his license, plowed into the Jag's back end at
45mph with a late 70's Chevrolet Impala (land based tuna trawler). The Jag
did its job protecting my parents by folding up exactly where it was
designed to in an effort to reduce the impact's energy being sent fully into
my parents' bodies - but was destroyed in the process. Shame, but I
appreciate the excellent protective frame and body design put into the Jag.
See ftp://gilhale.dnsalias.com under the "_JaguarGetsSmacked" directory for
some pictures a nearby person took after the Chevy was dragged away.

Oh, the problem with the driver not being able to get started, Allen is
correct. It is the oxygen to beer ratio. If you have a Jagaurus I
apologize for being so hard on their design. They are likely fine cars.
But that is evidence of a oxygen to beer ratio problem unto itself, too much
beer. If it is the more classic Jaguar design, then you need more oxygen
than beer.
