I've always been a fan of shell scripting on the Windows platform, pushing the envelope with what you can do with DOS scripting, then Windows CMD syntax. VBScript, CScript and WSH was a mixed bag, with lots of confusion, platform version incompatibilities and admins locking down the scripting modules for fear of malware exploits. Now, Microsoft has finally "released" PowerShell, formerly Monad, formerly MSH, which promises to bring the power of a good scripting engine to Windows, along with the ability to invoke (and pass!) COM objects. I note that the current version requires the .NET 2.0 runtime and SP2 of XP, and is not yet released on Vista.
Anyone worked with it? Anyone got plans to integrate Monad-compatible scripting into their VFP apps?
