Richard, Must admit that I only normally use it for limited file transfer so performance hasn't been a consideration. I did however contact Splashtop about the slowness and they have reported that a major performance increase will be shipped out very early in the new year.

It does indeed appear that the major bug where folders were not being fully populated is gone. Sadly, performance is probably about as slow as copying via RDP. I'm transferring 387 files from my system to the remote and it's about a third of the way through after several minutes. Conversely, I was grabbing a bunch of files (1000s) from a different client site using LMI earlier today and it completed in less time. If file transfer is an important part of your remote access needs, SplashDesktop isn't even playing in the same league. -- rk --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://mail.leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
