I might have used it the odd time, but dodefault() does it for me.
I did check to see how much of it is in my app and was
surprised to see "::" is used in 48 files. It turned out to be just
notation. I use "::" for making clear in comments that something is
a class (instead of an object) as in
someclass::
and
someclass::somemethod()
