Not a problem since M$ is doing this via the Automatic Updates, though!  
However, some IT shops have turned off Automatic Updates, if I 
understand correctly.

Amen again.  If browsers were consistent, then fine, but with today's 
plethora of choices and non-uniformity, what's the advantage other than 
pushing your update to one spot on the web?  If you've got your local 
VFP app set to look for updates on the web anyway, then there's no 
advantage.  Rick Strahl had such a code example, iirc.
