My first thought was to suggest using Oracle Virtual box to create a windows
98 or even a DOS virtual machine and run your application within the virtual
machine. If your app will run in WinXP then you can create a virtual XP box
and then use "net use" to capture your LPT1 port and map via the network to
a usb device. You may have to use PrintFil to capture the port on the
Windows98 virtual box to redirect the printer output.

I've had great luck keeping a couple of old btrieve database programs
(MagicPC for those who might be interested) running on current machines
doing similar installations.

Not pretty, but pretty cheap. And it works.

Subject: FP DOS app printing to LPT1

What is the add on I need to find for running my old car lot app on a semi
modern machine? An old customer replaced a Win98 machine today.

thanks.
