In my neck of the woods (Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada), a
number of communities were evacuated due to wildfires including one
city of 11,000. Kamloops, though not endangered, got a lot of smoke
due to the weird valley shape; when a 1-10 air quality scale had
Kamloops at 48, you know it was rough. Fortunately, we are through
the worst. I understand there were areas in the U.S.A. that were
also suffering from wildfires though I have no details.
