Yes I agree with them: Lianja is what Microsoft should have done to VFP if they would have understood the product and their users. It really deserves more acknowledgement and help.
Personally I find Lianja the best spin-off from the original FoxPro roots. Maybe you don't know it, but Lianja is based on Recital, which is a long standing very stable "FoxPro on Big Iron"; it's known since 1988! They have their own SQLServer including ODBC drivers, their own RecitalServerPages ( *.rsp, like *.afp or *.asp), and with Lianja they made the logical evolution towards an Application server (like Servoy and others), but can stil compile true Standalones for Linux, Macs and Windows. And IOS and Android of course... Lianja is based on the VFP object-model with container hierarchy etc. It has a lot of enhancements to the VFP9 syntax and language, Thus: Yes it's like VFP 10, or maybe VP 11 in the meantime. And you can write your code in VFP, PHP, Phyton, JScript, TypeScript and Babel. Thus you always will find some programmer to maintain your apps :) wOOdy -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: ProFox [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von [email protected] Gesendet: Montag, 13.
