Thanks for that advice Richard but it is too late now. Fortunately the form class had very few controls but quite a lot of custom code. It was pretty easy to recreate and I was able to recover almost all the custom code by using FileToStr on the old VCT and doing a number of StrExtracts using PROCEDURE and ENDPROC as the delimiters. It worked very well
