Thanks for that advice Richard but it is too late now.  Fortunately the form 
class had very few controls but quite a lot of custom code.  It was pretty easy 
to recreate and I was able to recover almost all the custom code by using 
FileToStr on the old VCT and doing a number of StrExtracts using PROCEDURE and 
ENDPROC as the delimiters.  It worked very well

Sometimes you can find the files in your OS temp location but the names and 
extensions will be different. You could use some kind of file searching tool to 
look for text that is in your VCX.
