Alphabet soup of the day! I can't believe how much guff surrounds what is really no more than xmlhttp plus dom - ms achieved this years ago with the download 'behaviour' (but p'raps they kept it a bit quiet 'cos it used java). None of it changes the fact that the web does not provide a good interactive ui - OK Google maps are impressive but most of the pedalling is done at the server, and it's a limited paradigm for commercial use.
