Retired and working on catching up with "state of the art" in Math and Computer 
Science, my areas of interest.
Been working on the OCW classes at MIT in the Engineering and Computer Science 
6.xxx ( free and spectacular 😊 ) they seem to use Python quite a bit.
So the free ebook on Python will come in handy.

I don't think it would be a good idea, as with any new language I would learn 
the patterns and good practices that are appropriate to it. Python is a general 
purpose language and you'll presumably be doing a lot of interfacing at a low 
level with sensors and the like, nothing in the VFP world is really applicable.
