Cute and interesting, but if I were betting on advances in human/machine interfaces, I'm thinking we'll see a swing towards "explosive" developments with voice interaction, holographic displays, automatic language translators and (doesn't really fit in this genre, but "explosive" anyway): parts fabrication.
