I had started rewriting an existing application but got sidetracked with
some paid work.

If it'd help to have a start to finish example that isn't very complex, I
could probably work up some blog posts that do that.  Tell me what you'd
like to see. e.g. Native DBF access, ODBC, forms, reports, etc.
