I misunderstood. The item was there, just unchecked.

Ted thinks the trouble is domain related; I checked Computer properties 
and this machine is a member of an artificial workgroup that doesn't 
have any other computers on it, thus the lack of nodes under the 
"MyBichinDomain" node in My Computer.

Read up on joining a domain in XP and they have Active Directory 
requirements up the yazoo. I don't even understand the SHORT words in 
their explanation. Now I remember why I never upgraded from W2K to XP in 
the first place.

The learning curve for AD just for a five computer network was onerous, 
but we all know what MSFT thinks of SMBs.

I think I'm going to go back and install W2K on this box. Heh.
