To be honest, I sometimes wonder how many scientist's bow down to
politicians when the politician DEMANDS and say's, we're going to cut your
funding if you don't...

Now me, being kind of dumb sometimes, I'd tell them to kiss my ??? And go
live under a tree until I found the next project, but I imagine they say yes
master...

That's impossible!  I don't think we have 10,000 researchers who can read
such a statement, let alone sign it.  They should do what Virgil suggested
the other day: Vote those interfering political folks out of office post
haste.
