I've got a new client that keeps sending me a copy of their MySQL directory from their server instead of a proper backup of the MySQL database.
Are these files of any use to me? Is there a way to force my MySQL installation to recognize these files as belonging to their installation? The directory is filled with *.MYD, *.MYI, *.frm files plus a db.opt file. I'm speaking to their network administrator and he doesn't know anything about MySQL and he wasn't at a machine to walk him through backing up his db. Frustrating. I guess they're not backing up their database at all, eh? -- Kevin Cully CULLY Technologies, LLC Sponsor of Fox Forward 2006! http://foxforward.net _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
