I see an app created for debug in 3 days time frame at International Paper.
It takes the a week to make mock ups that we just mimic in code generation
templates.    

Granted it's all web based, all stored procedure driven for data, as well as
the data layout, triggers, and all 3 tier defined with bizObjects that not
only verify the data is as we want it, but it also delivers messages back up
to the UI when something stupid happens.  

We follow the CSLA framework (free).  You can see 2 videos about it on DNR
