I stopped by the other day to fix up her network again [she plugged the telephone line into her router instead of the CAT 5 - two people in two days that did that!!] and take a look at her equipment so I could sign a paper stating that it was damaged. First warning sign, she was telling me that her computer and printer was just a year old - the same stuff that I worked with 3 years ago when it was then a year old. Three computers [a 4 year old '1 year old' 1.8 GHz desktop, a two year old '1 year old' laptop, a brand new laptop that was at her house at the time], two printers [both I worked on 3 years ago], a router that I 'fixed' by plugging the correct line in, and some other stuff. Just sent her a letter telling her that I couldn't do it and I know that I have already lost hundreds on current invoices because of it and lose her as a future client but I just couldn't do it. Damn these ethics - it is costing me money again. jeff fisher, MCP www.turbofish.com --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
