Nature really does a good job in the heating of water in some areas.  Take
natural hot springs and get the water to pump from much lower.

Your kidding right?  Solar is over rated, having lived in a solar house in
North AZ.  Your either in collecting mode in the winter, but then your
design is in collecting mode and summer is very hot.

That is great!  How are your windows?  You can loose a great deal of energy
through your glass.  Maybe putting in new ones that are a thermal barrier
could help.  We put some in and it's much warmer then the older ones.  That
is using a thermometer in front of them as a gauge.  It helps a  lot in the
summer for us.
