I had also asked this question on UT and here is Cathy's response. 

If I understand correctly, what is happening is when the group footer prints on
its own page, the customer number printed at the top is the correct customer
number, but the customer number that prints in the page footer is that of the
NEXT customer.

If that's what you are seeing .. the behavior is by design. When the group
footer was done printing, the record pointer was moved to the next record. So
when the page footer is printed, it's already on the next customer.

A workaround to get what you want is to create a report variable called
cCustomer and set it to the customer number. This will get processed for each
detail record. In the situation of the data group footer being printed last on
the page, even though the record pointer has been moved ahead, the variables
haven't been processed yet so it should still hold the value of the last detail
record processed which is the one you want.
